    The starting point — every letter of the Arabic alphabet, each one practised in real words, and the small set of rules that turns those letters into any Arabic text.

    • Every letter of the alphabet, sound by sound
    • Madd, shadda, tanwin — the foundations of correct reading
    • Sun and moon letters; hamza al-wasl; ta-marbuta
    • Regular checkpoints, plus a final exam over all the letters

    The Qur’an read the way it was revealed.

    The rules of articulation and recitation, applied straight away on live Qur’an reading. Children learn the rules and then hear themselves use them.

    • Idgham, ikhfa, izhar, iqlab — the meeting of letters
    • Madd categories; qalqalah; the meeting of two sukuns

    The heart of the programme.

    The largest module by far. Children read the Qur’an under a teacher’s guidance, applying tajwid live and refining their recitation week after week.
